Our History & Our Future

From our humble beginnings with Greg supplying plumbing & drainage to the Sydney residential home market in the 70's, Greg Houston Plumbing grew into one of Sydney's most long-standing & trusted plumbing companies.  Ambition to supply high-quality tradesmanship & a genuine desire to service his clients enabled Greg to diversify & expand into varying areas of expertise to become one of the most broadly capable companies in our industry.

This diversification included the construction of sewer & water assets & later becoming a trusted Sydney Water supplier for applications, assessments, design & project management for Sydney Water as A Water Service Coordinator (WSC).

Greg never sits still, nor does the company & the decision was made to develop the structure of GHP to provide increased benefits to our client base, whilst also managing our Sydney Water responsibilities to the highest possible level.  The development brought about the introduction of Opal Water Management & GHP Plumbing & Civil as two separate entities.

The WSC department of the business has now formally transitioned into Opal Water Management with ample resources to service all the water management requirements of your next project.

With over 40 years of practical background in plumbing & infrastructure construction, in addition to 20 years designing & managing water, wastewater & stormwater installations for Sydney Water (www.sydneywater.com.au), Opal Water Management is well equipped to deliver on your next project.

Our history is in Sydney, but our future reaches far beyond.  Opal Water management is expanding into regional NSW (based centrally out of Dubbo) with systems that will provide the same quality, result-driven service to those developing & building throughout the state.

We are working with local industry & Government authorities to bring that precious Opal difference to all projects we are engaged in.
