Major Works​
Major Works involve complex infrastructure projects such as:

New water, wastewater, or stormwater pipes

Pipe relocations and extensions

Wastewater pumping stations and chemical dosing units

Non-gravity wastewater systems
These projects require design by a Water Servicing Coordinator (WSC), submission to Sydney Water, and inspections during construction.

Minor Works
Minor Works are simpler and include:

Gravity sewers

Concrete encasement or replacement of existing VC/PVC sewers

Installing property connections and junctions
-
Constructing property connection sewers (PCS) or extending existing sewers

Accredited Sydney Water Coordinator
All construction for both Major and Minor Works must be performed by an accredited Sydney Water Coordinator.
